Montemaggiore, "the balcony of Metauro"

Montemaggiore is an ancient castle with a single access door and surrounded by walls around which there is a large pine forest.

Inside the village there is the Town Hall and the ex theatre, then, a long stairway leads to the church of “Santa Maria del Soccorso”. From there you can enjoy a beautiful panorama that ranges from the tops of the Apennines to the lights of Fano and that gives the country the name of "the balcony of Metauro."

The country is known for the typical plantation of chrysanthemums, for the production of cheeses (produced in Farmhouse Marche) and especially for the production of  the fine wine "Bianchello del Metauro".
